- Friendly, professional family seeking a nanny to care for their baby boy who will be 9 months old when mum returns to work in April.
As Canadian expats with no relatives in Sydney, the family are genuinely seeking someone who wants to feel like part of the family and care for their son as though he was their own.
The role will involve day to day care for the baby including feeding, age appropriate play, local excursions (eg to the park and the library for rhyme time) managing nap times, managing meals as he learns about solids and finger foods, assisting with light housework (eg laundry and generally tidying up after meals and play, however the family have a cleaner so no heavy cleaning will ever be expected). They would also appreciate assistance with light errands like chemist or grocery shopping.
The family are located in an excellent area for walks and errands with everything you need (including public transport) at the doorstep.
They are located within a five minute walk of the Double Bay village shops, and it’s only few minutes further to reach the waterfront, ferry and park.
We are seeking someone who:
- Is reliable, nurturing, energetic
- Is comfortable, confident and experienced with babies and toddlers (eg knowledge of appropriate play and growth / development milestones)
- Has a clean drivers licence (but no need for own car as you would have access to the family car for any excursions if required )
- Can be somewhat flexible with hours on rare occasions, where both parents have work commitments that need to be met
- Is open to occasional additional babysitting
The family are looking for a minimum 12 month commitment with the view to be ongoing.
