- Lovely professional family in Mosman are looking for a confident, experienced, and loving sole charge nanny to care for B6 and G8.
The ideal nanny will be passionate about caring for children and their development, and responsible, organised, flexible, calm and proactive.
Both of the children are at school (one in North Sydney, the other in Mosman), and so before and after school are very busy with the school run, pick-ups from after school activities, overseeing homework, dinner, making lunches for the next day, and getting ready for bed.
During school hours worked, the nanny will be responsible for the running, management and organisation of the home.
Responsibilities include:
Managing the children’s daily routine including school drop-offs and pick ups
Cooking nutritious meals for the children (and for their parents on some evenings)
Assisting with homework
Organising fun activities for the children during school holidays
Assisting with the running of the house including family grocery shopping, family laundry, pick-ups and drop-offs at the drycleaners, liaising with the gardener/cleaner/tradespeople
Assisting with light housework including tidying children’s rooms, keeping the kitchen clean and organized (the family have a weekly cleaner)
Running errands
Driver and own car required.
Must have clean licence and mileage will be paid.
Role is Monday-Thursday, with some hours on Fridays (typically would be needed for some hours on a Friday once every 3-4 weeks)
Flexibility required to do occasional 1-2 hours overtime in the evening, and occasional overnight stays, with prior arrangement
Ideal hours for term time are 40 hours per week minimum:
7.15am-7.15pm for 2 days per week (flexible on which, but would prefer one full day to be a Monday)
7.15-9.15 and 1.15-7.15pm 2 days per week
During school holidays when we are not on vacation, hours would be 48 hours per week minimum: 7.15am-7.15pm Monday to Thursday (with some occasional Fridays)
The family are flexible on term time hours while the children are at school.
The family are looking for a 6-12 month commitment with the view to be ongoing.
